KWT 2100 - Gun Safe (4 Handguns) - Burglary Test Grade I

Item no.: FT-212202-60000

The KWT Grade I is a gun safe certified to EN 1143-1 Grade I by ECB•S in Germany, approved for storing handguns together with ammunition. The door locks on four sides and opens 180 degrees.

Certified Grade I storage for handguns

The KWT Grade I suits licensed gun owners at home or at work who need a higher burglary grade than Grade 0. From the KWT 2100, holders for four or five handguns, sold separately, take up to 15 handguns depending on the size, and movable shelves hold ammunition and valuables. Every safe is prepared for anchoring to the floor and rear wall, with fixings included. Choose a double-bit key lock with two keys or an electronic code lock, in Graphite Grey RAL 7024 or Light Grey RAL 7035. Rules for storing firearms differ between countries, so check what applies where you are. What you can insure inside depends on your policy and your market, so confirm the sum with your insurer.

Questions & Answers

Common questions about this product, from our Knowledge Base.

Which burglary grade should I choose to insure cash & valuables?
Match the grade to the cash and valuables you need to store and to what your insurer requires. As a guide: S1/S2 and Grade 0–I for homes and small business, Grade II and above for higher sums. Always confirm the covered figure with your own insurer.

I forgot the code to my safe. Can you help me?
For security reasons neither SafeGear nor the lock manufacturer holds a master code. If the door is open the code can be reset using your lock manual; if it is locked and no emergency key was supplied, a locksmith must open the safe, which usually destroys it.

How can I bolt the safe myself?
You can bolt your safe following 8 simple steps. Read the article for the full description. If you're bolting the safe inside a wardrobe with a wooden back, we strongly recommend that you cut a hole in the back corresponding to the size of the safe in order to push the safe directly up against the wall.

How can I get an extra copy of the key for my safe?
You can ask a local locksmith to make a copy if you still have a key. If you lost all your keys to the safe, it will depend on whether your door is open: 1) OPEN door - you can replace the entire safe lock with a new lock. 2) LOCKED door - no easy solution. A professional would have to either pick the safe lock (not easy!) or break into the safe to recover any valuables. The exact approach would depend on the security level of your safe but the safe will be destroyed and you would have to replace it.

How many bolts are included with my safe?
One expansion bolt is always included for anchoring the safe to the floor. You can buy additional bolts in any hardware store for additional anchoring to the wall. Recommended anchor is M12/200mm (marked as 12/100)
